But the cover blurb gives the gist, and typically, because the readers were mostly male, lesbians in these books didn’t stay lesbian for long, so we’re pretty sure we know how this one goes. The art is by the underrated Bill Edwards.
1901—McKinley Fatally Shot
Polish-born anarchist Leon Czolgosz shoots and fatally wounds U.S. President William McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. McKinley dies September 12, and Czolgosz is later executed.
