Michael Rubin was an American author who published during the 60s and 70s. A Trip into Town, which is the tale of a carefree young hippie named Suki and the men she beguiles, was his first novel. We don’t know if it’s witty, like the blurb says, but the cover art sure is pretty.
1901—McKinley Fatally Shot
Polish-born anarchist Leon Czolgosz shoots and fatally wounds U.S. President William McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. McKinley dies September 12, and Czolgosz is later executed.
