Let’s get back into the swing of things with a fun Japanese poster. Above you see a promo for The Touchables, which was a goofy adventure about a hapless accountant played by Billy Holms who has to hide from two Mafia thugs and ends up going to a fat farm, which is actually more of a nudist colony. This forces the two thugs to disguise themselves as women to gain entry. Yes it’s that kind of movie, all juvenile humor and dumb sight gags, but the good news is you get Claire Brennan, Maureen Bryce, Margo Woode, and the always impressive Elaine Jones, who you may remember we wrote about in her Baby Bubbles incarnation. The Touchables opened in the U.S. in 1961 and made its Japanese premiere today in 1963.
Who knew hiding from the mob could be so sexually stimulating?
