Above: a cover for La peau de l’artiste by H.T. Perkins, aka Henri T. Perkins, originally published in 1969, with this France-Sud Publications edition hitting stores in 1976. It was number twenty-five in the company’s Collection Romans Noirs Franco-Américains. The title translates into English as “the artist’s skin.” 1976 is late for us in terms of book covers, but the bizarre photo art was so notable we had to share it.
