This promo image shows Boston born actress Susan Cabot in 1958’s Machine Gun Kelly, which was a Roger Corman cheapie that happened to do well and made a lot of money. Cabot and Corman worked together several times. She retired after appearing in his sci-fi disaster The Wasp Woman, and is probably one of many actresses whose last film was a Corman production—his movies launched some careers, and killed a few. Cabot debuted in the significant 1947 film noir Kiss of Death, but mainly acted in westerns. Mixed in were intriguing titles such as Sorority Girl and War of the Satellites. We’ll see if we run across her in the future.
