It’s just another perfect shot of legendary Hollywood sex symbol Ava Gardner. This was made for her 1957 film The Little Hut, which is about exactly what you’d presume—she’s shipwrecked on a tropical island. Her two companions are Stewart Granger and David Niven, and of course they compete for her affections. If the premise sounds familiar, many beat her to it, including Joan Collins with the 1954 castaway comedy Our Girl Friday. But even Joan wasn’t the first to run with the idea. It’s been used many times, from 1934’s We’re Not Dressing to 1998’s Six Days Seven Nights, and beyond. We’ll give Ava a shot in this one. It looks fun.
I said it could be weeks or even months until we're rescued! What exactly about that statement is making you smile?
