Above we have the cover and a few interior pages from an October 1950 issue of Neue Wiener Melange, which is a German celeb and erotic magazine that takes its name from the phrase “Viennese blend”, a type of coffee with milk. We have to admit, the contents are a bit stimulating. You get some deft art, some demure studio nudes, and Austrian actress Vera Molnar, who starred in 1951’s A Tale of Five Cities and 1954’s Ulysses, the latter with Kirk Douglas. We have another of these and if we don’t have a lazy day we’ll scan the whole thing and post it. 

Below, assorted covers of Folies de Paris et de Hollywood, a French erotic magazine that debuted in 1953. These covers are all from the late 1960s and early 1970s. You can see another issue here. 

Above we have another issue of the West German magazine Das Ronke, this one from May 1950, with a great ad for the film Badende Venus, aka Bathing Beauty, with Esther Williams, along with photos of Jean Simmons, jazzman Al Edwards, and burlesque performer Maya Graf. The cover here—as on the previous one—is by Joka. We’ve got nothing on this person, but you know us—we’ll keep digging.

If you’re going to do smut, do it highbrow. This July 1937 issue of the French nudie mag Beautés is filled with many classy images, but our favorite is the woman who seems to be making plans for the defense of Paris. We really hope DeGaulle didn’t listen to her, but on the other hand, it would explain a lot.
